About the studio

A maker's workshop

Westpoint Studios is a design-and-build workshop in Westpoint, Indiana, a stone's throw from Purdue University. Owned and operated by craftsman Matthew Fuller Rose, the studio makes custom furniture, built-ins, signs, turnings, and metalwork.

Matt builds with reclaimed and sustainably sourced local hardwoods and softwoods, paired with the finest modern hardware and finishes. He works closely with each client to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are as useful as they are beautiful.

Making is in Matt's blood. He was first drawn to woodworking as a boy in the workshop of his grandfather, Charles Douglas Fuller, an artisan of the highest order. From him, Matt learned attention to detail and respect for his tools. Above all, he gained a passion for the craft that has fueled him ever since.

Matt pairs modern tools and techniques with centuries-old hand skills, learned through years of study and practice. His systematic approach to design and construction produces heirloom-quality work, made to reflect each client's taste and vision.
